So the comm is set up and ready to go and this is the point where I should start advertising it to try and get more people on board, but the general consensus seems to be that it's not really worth the effort since Dreamwidth is already overflowing with writing communities and doesn't need another so… meh.

Go for it. It can't hurt to try. I do think I want to adjust the rules so future attempts have a shorter word limit. I think perhaps people were hitting writer's block or something with something that felt like an established story. (And the whole goal was to break writer's block with a writing free-for-all where the final product doesn't matter.)

Basically, as long as anyone other than just me wants to continue playing around with it, I'll be here, but I'm feeling significantly less optimistic than a week ago.



I need to come up with a blurb that gets across the idea of speed. Convince people that it's okay to type the first sentence that comes into your mind without overthinking anything.
